The lesson studio
Local teachers teach out of our studio, 7 days a week.
Independent local teachers run lessons from our rooms all week, so the shop always has music in it. Beginners, returners and shredders welcome; tell us who is learning and we will match you with a teacher. Need a starter uke or guitar first? We'll set you up.

Our story
We won Wheel of Fortune. Then we opened a guitar shop.
In 2014, one month after their wedding, Spencer and Laura Ahuna were contestants on Wheel of Fortune. They won, and the prize helped open Big Island Guitars in 2015. Spencer, Laura, Scott, Kea, Drew and Matt have been keeping Hilo in strings ever since. Born and raised, and proud to be a local business.
