The lesson studio · 7 days a week

Music lessons in Hilo.Teachers ready to teach you.

Our lesson studio connects you with great local teachers. Independent teachers teach out of our lesson rooms right here at the shop, seven days a week: guitar, bass and ukulele of course, plus violin, voice, drums, saxophone, mandolin, music theory and more.

Tell us who is learning and what they want to play, and we will match you with a teacher. First lesson happens at the shop on Kilauea Ave.

Good questions

Lessons, answered

What instruments can I take lessons for?
Guitar, bass and ukulele of course, plus violin, voice, drums, saxophone, mandolin and music theory. Playing something else? Ask us. If we can match you with a local teacher, we will.
What ages do you teach?
All ages. Our teachers work with keiki starting their first instrument, teens, adults, and kupuna picking music back up. Tell us who is learning and we will match them with the right teacher.
Do I need my own instrument?
You will want one to practice on at home. We are a music store, so you can buy a new or used instrument right here, or just ask us what makes sense for a beginner before you spend anything.
Where do lessons happen?
Right at the shop: 1221 Kilauea Ave Ste 10, Hilo, HI 96720. Independent local teachers teach out of our lesson rooms, so you get a real teacher, a real room, and a music store around you.
